Lodged: Caves Branch in the middle of the jungle
This day we hiked more into the jungle to the SDR rock shelter. Here we had our opportunity to do actual archaeology! It was my first experience learning archeology tangibly instead of inside the classroom. We got to dig up cultural material and write in our journals about our insights, observations, and experiences into how, why, and who may have used this rock shelter. I had a lot of fun doing this, and learned a lot as well.
